1. Does the ECO II system work with all vacuums?

Yes, the ECO II works with 99% of vacuum systems on the market. Don’t be deceived by rogue technicians that are trying to sell you another separator. The ECOII is compatible with 99.9% of vacuum systems on the market.  Please call for installation instructions or speak with one of our service tech supervisors for support when installing your ECO II. 

3. Where should the ECO II be installed?

If you have a dry vacuum systems, install the separator after the water separator tank on the waste water drain line. Make sure the ECO II is positioned below the tank to allow gravity to drain the water through the ECOII and out the waste waster pipe. For a Wet Vac or Wet ring pump install the ECO II on the vacuum line before the pump. 

5. What size vacuum or waste water line is the is the ECO II compatible with?

Fittings included with the ECO II are compatible with ¾”, 1” and 1.5” vacuum or waste water lines. However, the ECO II tandem unit is compatible with lines up to 2”.

7. Does the ECO II require maintenance?

The only maintenance required for the ECO II is to check the fill line each month and to replace the canister after 12 months or when full. These requirements are regulated by the EPA.

9. How do I order a ECO II?

2. Does the ECO II work on a Wet Vac and Dry Vac?

Yes ECO II works with both systems.

4. We have a central evacuation system, where should the ECO II be installed?

The ECO II or ECO II tandem is installed after the central evacuation system in the waste water drain pipe. See instruction manual for more details.

6. Does the ECO II system reduce suction?

No, the ECO II’s superior engineering ensures sufficient water flow regardless where it is installed and does not reduce suction or cut off water flow when full.

8. How do I get my certificates of recycling?

Two options. Register your system here and you will receive an e-mail with your certificate when you return your canister using the prepaid ECOII return mailing box and your canister is received at the treatment facility for recycling. The second option is to provide your e-mail address at the time you order and you will automatically be enrolled in the e-certificate program.  For more information scroll down to the compliance section.

10. Who regulates amalgam separation and what are my requirements?
